Tai Eng Pte Ltd , is a Singapore owned company that has a long history and tradition with spices dating back to 1945 when, founder Lee Tui Dua began the company. Our humble beginnings started then, trading as Chop Tai Eng, a wholesaler, focusing on the import and export of predominantly native Indonesian products such as cinnamon, cloves, star anise, cardamoms, and specialty herbs such as rosemary and sage.
Tai Eng soon established itself as a leading wholesaler and the preferred distributor of spices in the region. Trade with countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka was established. In 1992 we rebranded as Tai Eng Pte Ltd and reached out to an even wider international market to establish our presence. We then began working with buyers and suppliers in U.S.A, Europe, South Africa and Asia.

Then as now, Tai Eng has always formed a relationship with clients and suppliers alike, based on ethical business practices. This is why many of our customers and suppliers have come to trust us and have been working with us for decades and still continue to support us. For four generations Tai Eng, has valued our relationships with all involved in our business from our farmers, suppliers, distributors and buyers, associates, clients, and partners. Our strategic alliances with reliable suppliers from the country of origin of products that we import assure us of quality products at the best prices. Our core business today remains as international sourcing and the import and export of quality spices and specialty herbs. For more than 70 years we have proved to be a credible and reliable player in the industry. This has helped to position us as the industry leader in the spice and herb industry.
